Every day you have a choice to aggressively take on the day or let the day take you. It is easy to let the day take you and just let the day unfold without focus. But to aggressively have goals for the day and to consistently achieve them takes energy. To climb a mountain, you first need the strength to lift your foot. Sleep has a direct effect on your mood and outlook, in ways you may not even realize. Success starts with a belief that it can happen and sleep debt can kill that optimism. Being tired can also make you more vulnerable to the low-down blues that ruin activity. Most of all, sleep debt crashes your energy level to a point where you don’t really want to do anything. Who feels like staring down a challenge when you can’t keep your eyes open? Every night this week make a commitment to get the right amount of sleep for you, which is typically at least seven hours. I am sure by the end of the week you will feel great and ready to take on your goals with amazing strength and focus!
