“The best way out of a job you don’t like is to do a great job.”
– Marshall Sylver
Even the most skilled employee is a liability to a company if he is persistently negative and brings down the moral of those around him, or even worse, presents an image of negativity to customers. That’s why when smart employers look at hiring someone; skills are only about 20% of what they look at. Of much more importance is the person’s attitude, because in reality, anyone with the right attitude can learn virtually any skill. So if you’re in a job you don’t like, always project a positive attitude and do the very best job that you can. Eventually, the right person will notice what a great job you do and job offers will start coming your way.
